Where are you from?
What do you do?
I keep myself busy with University; Im studying advertising at London College of Communication while taking care of amusementsmag.com. I have also been interning for Idol Magazine as a Creative Assistant for six months.
What’s the best thing about being young and female today?
I’m guessing that as a young female today, I’m feeling more empowered than ever. No one can tell me I can’t do things because I’m a woman. Also with social media now, it's easier to be a "role model" for a bunch of girls that follow you. You don't have to identify yourself with whatever society wants you to be like.
And the worst?
Men perving on my bum and not being able to predict the future.
Who are your female idols?
Sharmadean Reid (Wah Nails), Jenny Scott (Mother Meetings), Arvida Bystrom, Irene Agbontaen (TTYA), Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
Finish the sentence: If I were a boy…
I'd be a feminist.
How would you describe your generation?
Too connected to enjoy real life and too busy taking care of our social media life to have natural emotional behaviour.
How many hours a day do you spend on social media?
I sleep 8-9 hours per night, the rest of the time I'll spend it on social media. It is gross, I know. I'm trying to change that though.
What is your social media of choice and why?
All of them, I don't have any preference, they all have different purposes. On each of them I have a specific group of people that I'm friend with or that I follow. But if I had to keep one, I'll probably say Instagram, out of all the social media platform that I use, it is the only one that made me feel that reality isn't so far away. Recently, I got a film camera and I'm having fun learning to be patient again.
