Generator Berlin Mitte is a new urban hostel located in the bohemian Mitte neighbourhood in Berlin. To celebrate its opening, photographer Stephanie Sian Smith trawled the neighbourhood, interpreting the theme "street art", which is an integral part of the hostel's philosophy. During his Berlin residency, British artist Luke Embden created a mural for the hostel, and French artist Thierry Noir illustrated the corridors with his iconic lippy heads. The hostel is currently hosting the collective Urban Art Clash in a studio on the top floor and an exhibition space in the basement. If you're in Berlin to see the art, stop by with a frame.
