Imagine being paraded on the catwalks of Versace and Moschino, but having to sleep outdoors because you don't have enough money for rent. This was the life of fashion photographer and model Mark Reay for six years, a period documented in Homme Less, a new film from the director -- and friend of Reay -- Mark Thomas Wirthenson.

Throughout his career, Reay has been the face of some of the biggest brands; he has taken photographs for international publications; and has even been on Sex and The City, playing a billionaire, ironically. But when the work day ended, Reay left this world of luxury and elegance and headed to the roof of a building that he had been given the keys for by a friend who was helping him out.

As a freelance photographer, Reay walked the streets of Manhattan looking like a million dollars in designer suits, taking pictures at the shows and attending high fashion events. What was supposed to be just a few days sleeping rough became years hiding a double life, showering at the gym and preparing to return to the luxury of his industry. Perhaps he is a symbol of the struggling creative middle classes, or maybe he's just a stubborn dreamer who cannot give up his life in the Big Apple; either way, we can't wait to see this fascinating film.
